Chemigate’s annual fitness campaign reached its finish line this spring, and we are delighted to announce that the charity fund has found its way to its destination just as reliably as a running shoe to its shoebox.
This year, the charity cause chosen by Chemigate’s winning team was the Children and Youth Helpline and Chat Service of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare (MLL). The purpose of the helpline and chat service is to provide confidential conversational support for children and young people, and to answer questions that may be troubling them. Calls to the service are free of charge, and the lines are staffed by trained professionals as well as volunteer responders.
The funds donated to the service will cover the essential operations of the helpline and chat, including, for example, recruitment and training of responders, as well as phone costs for children and young people. In this way, high-quality and free support can be secured for children and youth across several channels.
