UPM has asked Chemigate to join in the Earth Hour campaign. UPM has been a participant since 2009.
Earth Hour is currently the world’s largest climate initiative. This year Earth Hour will be held on Saturday the 29th of March between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. During this period lights will be turned off in the name of the environment. Through this symbolic gesture everyone can show their concern for the environment and the climate change. The Earth Hour campaign was first organized in Sydney Australia in 2007. Our production sites will be standing still during Earth Hour. Every one of us can personally join the campaign by turning of all excessive lighting in their homes for one hour on the 29th of March between 8:30 and 9:30 pm.
