EcoVadis Gold Rating Renewed for 2024.
The annual EcoVadis assessment has been completed with a gold medal-worthy performance. Chemigate achieved its highest scores in environmental matters.
Technology Director Aki Laine stated: “This achievement is a clear indication of our commitment to sustainable development and continuous improvement in all areas of our operations. We have made significant improvements compared to the previous assessment, particularly in responsible procurement, which we have been focusing on recently. Additionally, we have made remarkable progress in conducting product-specific life cycle assessments, allowing us to better evaluate the climate and environmental impacts of our products. We have also joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), which highlights our commitment to mitigating climate change and reducing our carbon footprint.”
Since 2007, EcoVadis has grown into a globally trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, with a network of over 130,000 rated companies.
EcoVadis evaluates a company’s sustainability in four key areas: environmental practices, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The results are categorized into four levels: Platinum 1%, Gold 5%, Silver 15%, and Bronze 35%. Chemigate ranked among the top 5% of companies assessed worldwide in the past year.
